The emphasis on technology in the classroom continues to proliferate. School administrators are aware of the current administration’s recommendation to improve teaching and learning through the use of technology. This governmental encouragement necessitates the addition of new curricula and programs utilizing innovative products from Pitsco Education, LEGO Education, and the Technological Fluency Institute.
Student achievement is on the lips of educational theorists, and technology is understood to be a necessary component if those goals are to become reality. Integration into elementary and secondary schools seeks to improve student technological literacy by the end of eighth grade. Two grant offerings are specifically directed at these objectives as they support the acquisition of the technological curricula, student development, and sufficiently trained teaching staff necessary in the envisioned outcomes.
