Did you know?
More than two billion pencils are used in the U.S.
every year, and most of them have erasers. However, most pencils sold in Europe do not have erasers!
Binney & Smith, maker of Crayola products, produce nearly three billion crayons each year, an average of 12 million daily. That's enough to circle the globe six times. It would take 400 million crayons to go around the world. The best seller is the 24-count box of crayons.
Kids, ages 2-8, spend an average of 28 minutes each day coloring. Combined, children in the U.S. spend
6.3 billion hours coloring each year.
